Check Your Privilege

There’s been a lot of talk lately about “checking your privilege.” If you haven’t heard of it, it’s this trend where certain groups of people are supposed to acknowledge that they’ve had privileged upbringings.

Here’s my response:

Everything I have is from God and his grace. When I have been given something, I have tried (most of the time) to honor the gift and the giver by making good choices. I believe that is my only true privilege, and it is not even a privilege but grace.

Check your privilege? Check your gratitude.
